Dr. Lindsey Rodriguez is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Florida and the Director of the Health-based Education for Alcohol, Relationships, and Technology (HEART) Lab. Her research focuses on the intersection of close relationship processes (e.g., communication, conflict), personality (e.g., attachment, emotion regulation), mental health (e.g., depression, anxiety, loneliness), and health behaviors (e.g., alcohol, opioids, gambling), ultimately striving to develop brief interventions that help people in all of these domains. Lyra Toohey is a first-year PhD student at the University of Florida. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida State University, where she focused on researching intimate relationships and situationships. Lyra is interested in studying the effects that intimate relationships have on people and what drives individuals to form different types of intimate relationships. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, exploring new places, trying new foods, and watching Formula One.
Julianna Ross (HEART Lab Coordinator) is a junior undergraduate at the University of Florida majoring in Psychology and Health Science (Pre-Rehabilitation). She has an interest in psychology research involving interpersonal relationships, addiction, attachment styles, and the intersection between these topics. Outside of the lab, Julianna enjoys drawing, painting, and enjoying nature.
